Fleeing the Complex

The primary objective of the game Fleeing the Complex is to help the protagonist, Henry, successfully escape from a heavily guarded prison. You must navigate Henry's path through a series of clicks and choices, overcoming obstacles, evading guards and security systems, and ultimately achieving one of five distinct successful endings.

Core Mechanism

The core gameplay involves advancing the story by clicking (or tapping) options on the screen. At critical decision points, 2-4 action choices appear (e.g., "pickaxe," "drill"). Players select an option, and the corresponding animation plays immediately to show the outcome.

Result Determination

Results fall into three categories:

• Failure: Most choices trigger exaggerated, humorous failure scenarios accompanied by a “Fail” prompt. Immediate retries are permitted after failure, forming the core of the game's comedic style.
• Progress: Correct choices advance the story to the next scene or new decision point.
• Ending: Successively making correct choices advances players along specific paths, ultimately unlocking one of five distinct “successful escape” endings.

Exploration and Collection

While the ultimate goal is to escape the prison, the rules of the gameplay experience also include exploration:

• Multiple Endings Exploration: Players must play through multiple times, each time trying different choice branches, to see all endings and distinct storylines.
• Easter Eggs and Achievements: The game encourages players to try all failure options to uncover hidden jokes and Easter eggs (such as earning specific medals/achievements).
